About

I can’t help it, I LOVE BOOKS!  Growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, I accompanied my mother to the local library every week.  She checked out as many books as she could carry.  I loved the experience.  To this day, I love libraries and book stores because they contain so many extraordinary stories – all for me to read!  But reading the books alone is not the same experience as reading them with others who have their own perspective to share.  Book Clubs have enriched my life in so many ways; I hope you find the same satisfaction.

Starting a Book Club is not difficult but getting it right is a challenge.  I’ve been in several book clubs, only one was satisfying.  So often a friend will approach me to ask to be included in my book club.  There is such a demand!

On this site I am sharing what I’ve seen that works so you too can stay mentally alive and challenged.  My own book club story is included on one of the theme pages.  I am the owner of a marketing consulting business.  All the members of my book club are business owners too.  We set our club theme on business and professional development books. Our format is rather loose.  Sometimes we read the assigned book; sometimes we don’t.  We have learned so much from each other.  Often a book will not get read but will trigger an important conversation that teaches us what we need to learn.

I’m a grandmother now and have made a conscious decision to be known as the grandmother who shares games and gives books as presents.  We have so much fun diving into books.  There will be no end to that kind of adventure and sharing.

I look forward to sharing with you.
